From Luna: What is the Tabu 2.0? We launched the original Tabu in 2015. It instantly became a hit with LUNA fans and especially with the ultralight backpacking crowd. Barefoot Ted had originally found the design in a factory museum of a famous traditional Japanese tabi company in Tokyo. He said “I want this!” They made it for us from 2015-2019 on 100 year old German sewing machines and 80 year old workers… and finally they told us they would not make them anymore. Cut to last year. Our new Japanese family owned licensed LUNA manufacturer took on the challenge to reintroduce the Tabu. We call it the Tabu 2.0… and it is definitely better than the original.
